Housefull 5 OTT Release: First Part to Stream Soon on This Platform

Following its theatrical release on June 6, 2025, the fifth installment of the 'Housefull' series is set to make its digital debut. Although the exact date for streaming hasn't been confirmed, it's anticipated to premiere on a major OTT platform by late July or early August 2025.

The film unfolds aboard a luxurious cruise ship where chaos ensues after billionaire Ranjeet Dobriyal dies on his 100th birthday. Before his death, he names Jolly as his heir. However, three men—Julius, Jalbhushan, and Jalabuddin—each claim to be Jolly, sharing identical birthmarks. This sets off a comedic murder mystery filled with mistaken identities and romantic entanglements.

Star-studded Cast

Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and penned by Farhad Samji and Mansukhani, 'Housefull 5' boasts an impressive ensemble cast. Akshay Kumar stars as Julius, Abhishek Bachchan as Jalbhushan, and Riteish Deshmukh as Jalabuddin. The film also features Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri as their girlfriends alongside Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangda Singh, Dino Morea, Fardeen Khan, Johnny Lever, Chunky Panday, Ranjeet, Shreyas Talpade, Soundarya Sharma, Nikitin Dheer, Archana Puran Singh, Bobby Deol and Mithun Chakraborty.

In an innovative twist, the movie was released in two versions: 'Housefull 5A' and 'Housefull 5B', each featuring a different climax. This unique approach added intrigue and replay value to the film and was well-received by both critics and audiences.

Box Office Success

Before hitting theatres, 'Housefull 5' had already secured Rs. 135 crores from non-theatrical deals. This included Rs. 75 crore from digital rights alone. The film surpassed its break-even point effortlessly with global box office earnings of Rs. 288.58 crore.

The movie is now poised to entertain audiences at home through Amazon Prime Video's streaming service.
