Hari Hara Veera Mallu OTT Release: Is Kingdom Forcing Pawan Kalyan-Starrer For Early Digital Release?

The collection of Pawan Kalyan-starrer Hari Hara Veera Mallu dropped significantly on Friday. By the end of 10 days, the movie has earned Rs 81.2 crore (nett) at the India box office. This is a less by any parameter for a Pawan Kalyan film.

The Telugu film might struggle further to pull the audience to theatres as newly-released movie Kingdom starring Vijay Deverakonda has a better word-of-mouth than the Pawan Kalyan film.

If we have to go by the industry talks, Hari Hara Veera Mallu might be out for Independence Day. The long holiday weekend is expected to get better eyeballs. Amazon Prime has acquired the digital rights of the movie for a good amount.

Set in the oppressive era of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, the story revolves around Veera Mallu (Pawan Kalyan), a rebel who dares to challenge tyranny by plotting to steal the iconic Koh-i-Noor diamond from the emperor's Peacock Throne.

It's a setup ripe with possibilities-a heist layered within a freedom struggle, woven into the fabric of history and legend. Yet, the film squanders this potential with a screenplay that feels at once outdated and disjointed.

Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and backed by a strong ensemble cast including Bobby Deol, Nidhhi Agerwal, Nargis Fakhri, and Sathyaraj, the film sets out to be an epic period action drama but ends up lost in its own ambition.
