Singer-musician GV Prakash, who has come under attack from netizens following the announcement of his separation from his wife Saindhavi, has given a strong statement over people's criticism on the issue.

In the press release, GV Prakash said, "Due to a lack of understanding and limited information, the public discussion surrounding the union and separation of two lives is rife with assumptions. He questioned whether the dignity of a Tamilian had deteriorated to the point where they failed to grasp the impact of their comments on an individual's life. He mentioned that their close friends and relatives were aware of the background and reasons behind their mutually agreed-upon separation. He clarified that they had reached this decision after thorough consultation with everyone involved.

He continued, "Has the dignity of a Tamilian deteriorated to the point where they fail to comprehend the impact of their comments on an individual's life? GV Prakash Kumar highlighted how biased criticism, whether motivated by a desire for publicity or curiosity about his personal life, deeply affected those involved.

Tamil Music director-actor GV Prakash Kumar and his wife-singer Saindhavi's marriage is set to end in divorce.

In a joint statement, they said, "After much reflection, Saindhavi and I have decided to part ways after 11 years of marriage, for the sake of our mental peace and betterment while preserving our mutual respect for each other."

GV Prakash married his childhood sweet Saindhavi in 2013. They were blessed with daughter Anvi in 2020.
