'Guntur Kaaram' 1st Day Box Office Collection: Mahesh Babu's Film Off To Good Start

Mahesh Babu's Sankranthi release 'Guntur Kaaram' is off to a good start at the Andhra and Telangana box office. The movie opened to mixed reviews on Friday.

Like Mahesh Babu's earlier movies, 'Guntur Kaaram' had not created a huge buzz, but it was Teja Sajja's 'Hanu Man' which hogged all the attention. Nonetheless, The Tollywood Prince's latest film has performed better than its competitor.

The early trends indicate that 'Guntur Kaaram' has collected over Rs 40 crore on the opening day from Andhra and Telangana. The next big centre is Karnataka where it has earned around Rs 5 crore. From the rest of the country, it has made around Rs 1 crore to take India's total to Rs 46 crore.

Among the overseas centre, the Telugu movie has done well in the US box office.

Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, 'Guntur Kaaram' is an action drama in which Sreeleela plays the female lead with Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Easwari Rao, Murali Sharma, Sunil, Brahmaji, and others in the cast. Thaman S has scored the music for the Telugu flick which has Naveen Nooli's editing and Manoj Paramahamsa and PS Vinod's cinematography.

The movie has been praised by Mahesh Babu's fantastic performance. Mahesh Babu underwent a stunning transformation, revealing a stylish avatar that thrilled fans with newfound excitement. Departing from his usual soft demeanour, he embraced a massy look, showcasing a complete metamorphosis.

His commitment to the role extended beyond appearance, with altered mannerisms, body language, and an energetic dance performance. Mahesh Babu's versatility shone through as he effortlessly experimented with different accents, leaving an indelible mark. His impeccable comedy timing added an extra layer of entertainment to the film.

On the other hand, Sreeleela found herself in a role that, while inconsequential to the central plot, provided moments of energy and dynamism, primarily through vibrant dance sequences. Her on-screen presence radiated with gorgeousness, treating the audience to a visual delight. Meenakshi Chaudhary, though,

Thaman's musical brilliance is evident in tracks like 'Kurchi Madhathapetti,' but the overall impact of the music falls somewhat flat. Unfortunately, most songs act as narrative hindrances, lacking the resonance to enhance the viewing experience.

Cinematographers PS Vinod and Manoj Paramahamsa provide decent visuals that synchronize well with the unfolding story. While not groundbreaking, the cinematography serves its purpose by complementing the narrative.
