Superstar Mahesh Babu has set social media abuzz after sharing the first photo from his highly anticipated film SSMB29, directed by SS Rajamouli. Officially teased as GLOBETROTTER, the film will have its big concept reveal in November 2025.

The actor and filmmaker posted a striking image on Instagram - a close-up of Mahesh's chest wearing a low-cut vest smeared with blood, a pendant featuring Lord Shiva's trishul and Nandi prominently visible. The post, shared on Mahesh Babu's birthday, also carried the hashtag #Globetrotter, sparking curiosity about whether it is the official title or a special promotional tag.

Addressing fans, Rajamouli revealed that while filming has been in progress for a while, the scope and story are so vast that "mere pictures or press conferences" cannot do it justice. The team is preparing a "never-before-seen" reveal to showcase the depth and immersive world of the film in November 2025, promising a cinematic experience on a grand scale.

Billed as a jungle adventure thriller with a global setting, SSMB29 draws inspiration from iconic classics like Indiana Jones. According to reports, the film will be released in two parts - Part 1 in 2027 and Part 2 in 2029. The cast includes Priyanka Chopra, marking her return to Indian cinema, and Prithviraj Sukumaran as the antagonist.

With an estimated ₹1000 crore budget, SSMB29 is one of the most expensive projects for both Mahesh Babu and Rajamouli. Filming is set to begin in April 2025, with shoots planned in international locations, including Kenya. Known for his blockbusters RRR and Baahubali, Rajamouli promises breathtaking visuals and an epic storyline.
