Ghaati Movie Review: What's Good, What's Bad In Anushka's Film? Find Out Here

Anushka Shetty is back with her her latest movie Ghaati. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, the movie is produced by Yeduguru Rajeev Reddy and Saibabu Jagarlamudi, under First Frame Entertainments, and is presented by UV Creations.

Tamil actor Vikram Prabhu, Chaitanya Rao Madadi, Jagapathi Babu, Jisshu Sengupta, VTV Ganesh and others are in the cast. The Telugu movie has Nagavelli Vidya Sagar's music, Manojh Reddy Katasani's cinematography and Chanakya Reddy Toorupu's editing.

The story of a victim who turns into a criminal and later becomes a legend.

The movie has picqued a lot of interest. Although the release of the movie has been delayed, people are eager to see what Anushka's latest movie has to offer. Has the movie lived up to the viewers' expectations? Find out:

Venky Reviews:An Uninspiring Rustic Action Drama That Lacks Conviction!

Set in the Eastern Ghats, the film revolves around marijuana export. Director Krish attempts to deliver a raw and rustic setup similar to Dasara and Pushpa, but his execution falls flat.

A few sequences in both halves show promise and are somewhat engaging, but they aren't capitalized on. The narration remains flat, relying on template driven scenes we've seen numerous times before, which gives the film a lethargic feel overall.

The film offers neither the highs expected from this genre nor the writing depth usually expected from Krish, ultimately making it feel half baked and as if he lacked proper conviction.

Not up to the mark!

#Ghaati Below Par 1st Half!

So far, the film moves at a pretty flat pace till the interval and lacks a unique point, which makes it very predictable. A few sequences in between are engaging, but the rest is tiresome. Needs a big 2nd Half!

Gulte: #Ghaati - A Huge Letdown

Krish set an interesting backdrop in the Eastern Ghats and attempted to create a world around the 'Ghaatis'. Unfortunately, he faltered in the execution throughout the film.

The story of a person transitioning from victim to criminal to legend is presented in a lackluster manner with outdated narration, poor music, underwhelming performances, and weak dialogue, aside from a couple of notable lines. The action sequences felt never-ending and repetitive.

Chaitanya Rao Madadi delivered a reasonably good performance, but most of the other actors seemed disinterested in their roles. Anushka had a passive role in the first half but took center stage in the second half. Her performance was just okay.

The film struggles with an uninspiring first half and completely loses its way in the second half. Krish's films are typically known for their thought-provoking and meaningful dialogues, but in Ghaati, that element fell flat. In particular, one line in the first half is of questionable taste. Overall, Ghaati is a big disappointment from director Krish.
