Elvish Yadav's Snake Venom Case: Noida Police Files 1200-Page Chargesheet - What's In It?

The Noida police have filed a chargesheet implicating popular YouTuber and Big Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav along with seven others. The charges range from snake smuggling to organizing rave parties, and the document unveils startling revelations on their methods of procuring venom for these events.

The 'Bigg Boss OTT' winner used a virtual phone number due to its enhanced privacy features, which are not linked to any specific location or device, according to a report in NDTV.

The report citing chargesheet claims that Elvish Yadav dialled a virtual number to contact his friend Vinay to arrange venom for parties.

Vinay would then instruct Ishwar, who, in turn, communicated with snake charmers. These charmers would arrive at the party location with their snakes. Police discovered Elvish's virtual number in Vinay's call records.

According to DCP Noida, the 1200-page chargesheet revealed that Elvish was in communication with snake charmers, and at the location, a poisonous snake along with 20 millilitres of venom from the Krait species were recovered.

Last November, the PFA organization lodged an FIR against six individuals, including Elvish, at Noida Sector 49 police station, accusing them of supplying snake venom suspected to be used as a recreational drug at a rave party in Noida.

On the orders of Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh, the case was transferred from Noida's Sector 49 police station to Sector 20 police station.

Elvish, along with five others, was arrested on March 17 by the police and charged under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and Section 120A (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code. Five days after his arrest, Elvish was granted bail by the Gautam Buddha Nagar District Court.

Subsequently, two more suspects in the case, identified as Ishwar and Vinay, both residents of Haryana and reportedly associated with Elvish, were arrested by the police.
