The trailer for 'Double iSmart,' the awaited sequel to the 2019 blockbuster 'iSmart Shankar,' has just been unveiled, and it promises a riveting cinematic experience. Spanning two minutes and 42 seconds, the trailer offers a compelling preview of the high-octane drama that awaits audiences.
It showcases the intense rivalry between Sanjay Dutt's formidable character, Big Bull, and Ram Pothineni's Shankar. The trailer is not only a visual spectacle of action but also provides a glimpse into the romantic dynamics between Pothineni and Kavya Thapar.

Ram Pothineni shared his enthusiasm about the trailer's release on X, formerly known as Tweeter exclaiming, "Mamaaaaaa! #DoubleiSmartTrailer aaagayyaaaa!..-Ustaad #DoubleiSmart Shankar." His excitement reflects the anticipation surrounding the film, which has been eagerly awaited by fans.
'Double iSmart' continues the story from the original 'iSmart Shankar,' directed by Puri Jagannadh and produced by Charmme Kaur and Puri Jagannadh. This sequel promises to build on the success of its predecessor, blending action, romance, and drama.
Cinematography for the film is handled by Sam K Naidu and Gianni Gianneli, while the score is composed by the renowned Mani Sharma. The film will be available in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, catering to a diverse audience.
The original 'iSmart Shankar' was a box office hit, despite receiving mixed reviews for its portrayal of the main character and some controversial scenes. While Nabha Natesh's character met a tragic end in the first film, the fate of Nidhhi Agerwal's character remains a mystery, adding to the intrigue for the sequel.
Directed by Puri Jagannadh, 'Double iSmart' is set to be released on August 15, and the film's narrative promises to address these unanswered questions.
Recently, the makers also released the second single from the movie, titled 'Maar Muntha Chod Chintha'. This vibrant dance number features Ram Pothineni and Kavya Thapar, who deliver a captivating performance with energetic dance moves. Sung by Nakash Aziz and Bhoomi Trivedi, with lyrics by Raqueeb Alam and music by Mani Sharma, the song enhances the film's appeal and highlights its dynamic rhythm.
Earlier, the film's teaser offered a tantalizing glimpse of what to expect. It reintroduces Ram Pothineni in his role as Shankar, showcasing his character's trademark antics, including flirtations and high-energy dance sequences.
The teaser builds anticipation for the dramatic showdown between Shankar and Sanjay Dutt's Big Bull, featuring an intense fight scene near a 'Shiva linga.' This marks Sanjay Dutt's debut in Telugu cinema and promises to bring a fresh and powerful presence to the film.
