Disha Salian's Father's Lawyer Dismisses CBI's Closure Report On Sushant Singh Rajput's Death As Insignificant
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has ruled out any foul play in its closure report on cases related to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. However, the lawyer representing Disha Salian's father has dismissed the report, stating that it holds no legal significance and that further investigations can still be pursued.
Advocate Nilesh C Ojha clarified that the closure report does not equate to a clean chit and that misleading narratives are being spread. He emphasized that the court retains the authority to take cognizance of the matter and could still order additional investigations or even issue an arrest warrant, citing the precedent set in the Aarushi Talwar case.

Disha Salian's father, Satish Salian, has reiterated his demand for a fresh investigation into his daughter's death and has also called for the interrogation of UBT-Shiv Sena leader Aditya Thackeray. The Bombay High Court is set to hear his plea on April 2.
Disha Salian, a celebrity PR manager, was found dead on June 8, 2020, just days before the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in Mumbai's Bandra suburb.
CBI's Findings
In its closure report, the CBI concluded that there was no foul play in Sushant Singh Rajput's death, a case that had gripped national attention for nearly five years. The investigation also dismissed allegations against actor Rhea Chakraborty and her family members, stating that no evidence was found to support any criminal involvement.
Despite the agency's findings, legal experts argue that the case could still be reopened if the court deems it necessary, keeping the door open for further scrutiny into both Sushant Singh Rajput's and Disha Salian's deaths.
