Dhanush-Aishwarya Rajinikanth Divorce News: Court Adjourns The Case For Next Hearing
Amid rumours of reconciliation, the divorce case between actor Dhanush and Aishwarya Rajinikanth came up for hearing before the Chennai Family Court on Thursday.
The hearing, presided over by Principal Judge S. Subadevi, saw neither Dhanush nor Aishwarya appearing in person. The judge has now ordered both parties to attend the next hearing on November 27.

The couple, who announced their separation in January 2022 after 18 years of marriage, had filed for divorce under Section 13B in Chennai earlier this year. The petition cites mutual consent as the basis for their decision to part ways.
While reports suggest that the two are proceeding amicably, the repeated postponements have sparked speculation. Both families, including Aishwarya's father, superstar Rajinikanth, are reportedly keen on a reconciliation.
Despite the divorce proceedings, Dhanush and Aishwarya have maintained a cordial relationship. Notably, they continue to follow each other on Instagram, and Dhanush recently liked Aishwarya's post where she wished her followers a Happy Onam. Such interactions have fueled rumors that the couple might be reconsidering their decision to separate.
However, sources close to the family have denied these claims. According to an insider quoted by Hindustan Times, the couple is focused on co-parenting their two sons, Lingaa and Yatra, and is not pursuing reconciliation. The source added, "They respect each other and share a cordial bond for their kids. They take turns to look after their children to ensure they don't feel a void in their lives."
The Couple's Statement on Separation
In their joint statement last year, Dhanush and Aishwarya expressed their mutual respect and intention to take time apart for personal growth. The statement read:
"18 years of togetherness as friends, a couple, parents, and well-wishers to each other. The journey has been one of growth, understanding, adjusting, and adapting. Today, we stand at a place where our paths separate. Aishwarya and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand ourselves as individuals for the better. Please respect our decision and give us the privacy we need."
Co-Parenting Commitment
While the divorce remains in progress, reports suggest that Dhanush and Aishwarya are prioritizing their children's well-being. Their focus on co-parenting has set an example of maintaining mutual respect despite personal differences.
For now, the court proceedings continue, with the next hearing expected to provide further clarity on the status of their relationship.
