Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal officially divorced on March 20. The former couple, who had been in the headlines due to their troubled marriage, have now parted ways. Yuzvendra Chahal is a well-known Indian cricketer, while Dhanashree Verma gained fame through her viral dance videos on social media. She became a household name after participating in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11.

During her time on the show, Dhanashree performed an emotional act depicting her love story with Yuzvendra. Chahal made a special appearance in one of the episodes to support her, which received a warm response from the audience. In her performance, Dhanashree showcased how she and Yuzvendra formed a bond when she started teaching him dance. Chahal initially liked and commented on her dance videos before expressing his feelings for her, and they eventually got married.

Before Dhanashree's performance, Yuzvendra shared their love story with the audience. When filmmaker Farah Khan asked why he had chosen Dhanashree as his dance teacher, Chahal revealed that a common friend had recommended her. He recalled messaging her on Instagram, and she replied after nearly two weeks, agreeing to teach him dance. Chahal described himself as a "sincere student" and mentioned that he fell in love with her when the dance classes resumed in person. He also spoke about how Dhanashree had supported him on several occasions.

Despite their past, Dhanashree and Yuzvendra have now legally ended their marriage. According to a report by Bar and Bench, Chahal will pay Rs 4.75 crore to Verma as part of their divorce settlement. The couple, who tied the knot in 2020, had reportedly been living separately for two years before filing for divorce.
