Darshan Arrested In Murder Case: Here's How Ramya Aka Divya Spandana Reacts

The news of Kannada actor Darshan's arrest in a murder case has come as a shock to the people of Karnataka.

A fan of Darshan from Chitradurga has been allegedly murdered by the aides of the actor. His body was recovered on June 9.

The preliminary investigation has revealed that the deceased identified as 33-year-old Renukaswamy has sent vulgar messages to Darshan's friend Pavithra Gowda.

As the investigation is on, actress Ramya has reacted to the incident by retweeting a post which claims that Darshan would be imprisoned for life.

The post read: "Under Section 302, Actor #Darshan is most likely to either get life imprisonment or a sentence. Any other outcome would be a case of money influence & mockery of Indian Law System. Hope the victim gets the justice he deserves."

Ramya had worked with Darshan in 2006 film 'Datta'.

Meanwhile, actress Sanjana Galrani has expressed her shock over the development. "I am shocked. I am just praying that Darshan will not be arrested. This is absolutely shocking news for me. I hope he has been taken just for a police enquiry," she said in the clip.

Meanwhile, Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on Tuesday said Darshan is being subjected to an inquiry by police in connection with an alleged murder and whether he is involved or not would be known only after the investigation.

After the alleged killing, the body of Swamy, who worked with a pharmacy company and hailed from the district headquarters town of Chitradurga, was dumped into a stormwater drain in Kamakshipalya, the sources said.

"A person from Chitradurga was murdered in Bengaluru. In connection with that murder some people have been arrested, and during their inquiry Darshan's name has come, so he has been brought for inquiry," PTI quoted Parameshwara as saying.

"Until the investigation is over, nothing can be said. Whether he (Darshan) is involved or not. What is the reason for the murder. Why has his name come? All those things will be known only after the investigation. So at this point in time, nothing else can be said," he stated.

Darshan was arrested by the cops around 8.30 am today at a star hotel after he was returning from his gym session.
