Coolie OTT Release Date: When Can You Expect Rajinikanth's Film To Be Released Online?

Superstar Rajinikanth's much-awaited action flick Coolie stormed into theaters on Thursday, and while reviews are mixed, the box office is expected to go ballistic! Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj (Leo fame) and bankrolled by Sun Pictures, the film boasts a star-studded cast including Nagarjuna, Upendra, Aamir Khan, Shruti Haasan, and Sathyaraj.

OTT Rights Sold for a WHOPPING ₹120 Crore!

Amazon Prime Video has bagged the digital rights of Coolie for a jaw-dropping ₹120 crore, tying with Vijay's Leo for the biggest OTT deal in Tamil cinema history! This mega deal has already outshone other blockbusters like GOAT (₹110 crore) and Jailer (₹100 crore). While an official announcement is still pending, fans can expect Coolie to drop on Prime Video soon.

When Will "Coolie" Stream on OTT?

Typically, big films take 4-6 weeks to hit OTT after their theatrical run. If Coolie keeps rocking the box office, fans might have to wait till mid-September to catch it on Amazon Prime Video.

Amazon Prime's Rajinikanth Connection

Prime Video has been snapping up Thalaivar's films left and right! They previously streamed Jailer (₹100 crore), Vettaiyan (₹90 crore), and even classics like Enthiran (Robot) and Baasha. With Coolie joining the lineup, Rajini fans are in for a binge-worthy treat!

It has to be noted that the satellite rights of Coolie are with Sun TV.

Meanwhile, Coolie has opened to a solid opening. The movie is predicted to earn over Rs 200 crore on day 1.

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj has adopted a non linear screenplay and the story picks up from the pre-interval portions. The flashback and deageing portions of Rajinikanth, and energetic performance of the superstar have been praised by fans. Especially the audience have appreciated the last 40 minutes in the movie.
