Chandan Shetty-Niveditha Gowda Divorce: Was It Clash Over Kids? Advocate Reveals The Reason Behind Split

Did rapper Chandan Shetty and actor Niveditha Gowda split due to disagreements about starting a family? Certain media outlets suggested that the main cause for their separation revolved around the topic of having children.

Despite the couple's plea for privacy, some media sources insisted that Chandan Shetty desired parenthood while Niveditha was hesitant due to concerns about its impact on her career.

However, these rumours have been refuted by their lawyer, Anitha. Speaking to a Kannada channel, she clarified, "The reason behind Chandan and Niveditha's decision to part ways is rooted in compatibility issues. Compatibility encompasses various aspects such as their preferences, thoughts, or ideas not aligning. Given their involvement in the creative industry, they naturally have divergent perspectives. It's not a matter of conflicting views but rather a lack of alignment."

Addressing the unfounded speculations circulating on television channels, the lawyer stated firmly, "There is no validity to these claims. Both individuals are content in their respective careers, and there are no significant disputes between them."

What Chandan and Niveditha Say About Their Divorce?
In a joint statement, they confirmed that they are parting ways. "This day, We, Chandan Shetty and myself have ended our marriage legally on good terms and mutual understanding."

Chandan and Niveditha have requested the media to respect their privacy. They also stated that they respect each other although they are getting separated.

The statement added: "We request support from the media, our friends, and fans who stood by us at all times to respect our decision and our privacy. Even though we are going our separate ways, we still care and respect each other. Your kindness, understanding and encouragement mean a lot to both of us during this period. Thank you all."

The couple had filed their divorce application under Section 13B on Thursday and appeared before the court on Friday to formalize the process.

Chandan Shetty and Nivedita Gowda fell in love during their stint in 'Bigg Boss Kannada 5'. After being in love for a few years, the rapper proposed her at Mysuru Dasara in 2019, which had created a controversy. In February 2020, they had tied the knot.
