CBFC Clears 'Khel Khel Mein' Without Visual Cuts, Demands Muting Of 'B*******D', 'Son Of B***H'

Akshay Kumar, Ammy Virk, Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Aditya Seal and Pragya Jaiswal's 'Khel Khel Mein' has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification for release.

The CBFC's Examining Committee has not requested any visual cuts for 'Khel Khel Mein'. However, they insisted that two offensive words be muted: 'b*******d' and 'son of a b***h'. It remains unclear whether these words were muted, removed, or replaced, Bollywood Hungama reported.

Nevertheless, audiences will not hear these abuses in their original form.

Once these modifications were implemented, the CBFC granted 'Khel Khel Mein' a U/A certificate. The censor certificate was issued to the filmmakers on August 8. According to the certificate, the film's duration is 134.07 minutes, equating to 2 hours, 14 minutes, and 7 seconds.

The film is set to release on August 15 and is directed by Mudassar Aziz of Pati Patni Aur Woh fame. It is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vipul D Shah, Ashwin Varde, Rajesh Bahl, and Shashikant Sinha. This movie is a remake of the 2016 Italian film Perfect Strangers.

Before releasing the trailer for 'Khel Khel Mein', the team unveiled the song 'Hauli Hauli’ at an engaging event. During this event, Ammy Virk humorously shared anecdotes about Akshay Kumar's camaraderie on set. He said, "Akshay paaji was our senior. When the senior most person treats everyone with love, then nothing like it. He has this habit that everyone should have lunch together."

Ammy Virk continued by pointing out Pragya Jaiswal's eating habits: "She would order healthy food as she is the heroine! But even she would consume biryani and lift food from Akshay paaji's plate." He concluded with a light-hearted remark: "In short, it was a chill atmosphere. Khaana khaane gaye the hum toh aur film bana ke aa gaye maze maze mein!"
