Bigg Boss Kannada Contestant Kirik Keerthi Slams Youtuber Sameer, Creates Ai Video Backing Dharmasthala Temple

Former Bigg Boss Kannada contestant Keerthi Kumar, popularly known as Kirik Keerthi, has strongly criticized YouTuber Sameer MD and others for making unverified allegations against Dharmasthala Temple in connection with a mass burial case.

Keerthi Kumar demanded that Sameer, Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi (president of the National Hindu Jagarana Vedike), and Girish Mattannavar provide concrete evidence to support their claims and submit it to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed by the Karnataka government. He accused them of targeting the temple and its head, Dr. Veerendra Heggade, for vested interests.

Keerthi, who has made his support open to the Dharmasthala Temple, has come up with a video backed with AI visuals.

Sameer MD's Viral Video Sparks Legal Trouble
Sameer MD, a popular Kannada YouTuber, was booked by Dakshina Kannada police for allegedly spreading false information in a video titled "Who Are Serial K!llrs of Dharmasthala?" The 23-minute video, which has garnered 3.1 million views, discusses a former sanitation worker's claim that he was forced to secretly bury victims of sexual assault near the temple years ago.

Police allege that the video:

  • Used AI-generated content and fabricated details beyond the official complaint.
  • Revealed unauthorized information about the whistleblower.
  • Could incite unrest by spreading misinformation.

A case has been filed under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Sections 192, 240, and 353(1)(b) for provoking riots, spreading false information, and defamation.

Past Legal Issues for Sameer MD
This isn't the first time Sameer MD has faced legal trouble over his content. In April 2024, a Bengaluru court issued him a notice in a ₹10 crore defamation lawsuit filed by Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala representatives over a video discussing an unsolved 14-year-old murder case.

The Whistleblower's Shocking Claims
The controversy began when a former Dharmasthala sanitation worker claimed he was forced to bury multiple bodies (allegedly showing signs of sexual assault) in nearby forests. He stated that he fled a decade ago but returned recently due to guilt and filed a complaint.

The case is now under investigation, with authorities warning against unverified claims that could disrupt social harmony.
