Rapper‑singer Badshah has been summoned by the Haryana State Commission for Women over lyrics in the new Haryanvi track Tateeree. The panel wants an explanation after complaints that the March 1 release carries indecent lines.

The summons, dated March 6, names Badshah, legally known as Aditya Pratik Singh Sisodia, as the key respondent in the Tateeree case. The notice has been sent to the Superintendent of Police, Panipat, with instructions to secure the presence of all parties. The scheduled hearing is on March 13, 2026, at 11:30 am in the DC Office Conference Hall, Panipat.

According to Haryana State Commission for Women chairperson Renu Bhatia, the body acted suo motu after receiving several complaints about Tateeree. The panel observed growing unease over explicit content in some recent songs.

The complaints came from Savita Arya, president of Nari Tu Narayani Utthan Samiti in Panipat, and Shiv Kumar, director of Shiv Aarti India Foundation. Both argued that Tateeree contains sexualised expressions and objectionable terms. They told the commission these elements objectify women and minors and demanded strict accountability for those creating and distributing the track.

Speaking about Tateeree, Renu Bhatia raised doubts over how the song passed checks. Bhatia referred to earlier work as a three‑year member of the Film Censor Board and said previous experience sharpened concern about such clearances. "It is important to understand how such lyrics pass regulatory scrutiny, especially when they affect public morality and cultural sensitivity," Renu said to ANI.

Tateeree is a Haryanvi hip‑hop collaboration featuring Badshah and vocalist Simran Jaglan, with lyrics penned by Badshah. Music composer Hiten handled both composition and production, while directors Mahi Sandhu and Joban Sandhu created the official video. The track mixes regional flavour with modern rap, drawing strong reactions from audiences across Haryana and neighbouring Uttar Pradesh as the case proceeds.
