Ayesha Takia Deactivates Instagram After Getting Brutally Trolled For 'Going Under Knife'

Former Bollywood actor Ayesha Takia has deleted her Instagram account following a wave of social media trolling over her recent photos from a party. A few days ago, Ayesha shared a picture of herself in a stunning blue Kanjeevaram saree paired with a gold necklace. The photo, where Ayesha appeared almost unrecognizable, caught the attention of Instagram users, leading to a flood of comments.

Among the now-deleted comments were remarks such as, "Looking nice but natural beauty always perfect," "Can't find that cute girl anymore .. anyway.. God bless and keep smiling," and "You were my childhood crush." Some users also questioned Ayesha about possible beauty treatments.

Earlier this year, Ayesha faced similar scrutiny over her appearance when she was spotted at the Mumbai airport with her son. At that time, she responded to the criticism on Instagram, saying, "Turns out there are no other important issues in the country except dissecting my looks... been bombarded with viral ridiculous opinions of how people think I should have looked and don't (sic)."

She further stated, "Get over me. I have zero interest in doing any films or any comeback like people are saying. I am living my life happily, never want to be in the limelight, not interested in any fame, don't wanna be in any film. Please feel free to not care about me at all."

Ayesha, who left the film industry after marrying Farhan Azmi in 2009, also addressed unrealistic beauty standards, saying, "How unrealistic and ridiculous are these people," in response to people expecting her to look 15 at the age of 38.

In a 2017 interview, Ayesha addressed rumors of her undergoing cosmetic surgery, asserting that while it is a "personal choice" and no one should be shamed for it, she had no intention of going under the knife.

"It's 2017 and we can't judge anybody... They are entitled to do whatever they want to do with themselves. I might not want to do it, it is a personal choice," she told SpotboyE.

Ayesha began her career as a model and rose to fame with Falguni Pathak's song 'Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye.' She made her Bollywood debut with 'Taarzan: The Wonder Car,' winning the Filmfare Award for Best Debut in 2004. Her filmography includes hits like 'Dil Maange More,' 'Dor,' and others.
