Arjun Kapoor On His Breakup With Sonakshi Sinha: 'Still Fond Of Her, But...'

Sonakshi Sinha, said to tie the knot with her longtime partner, Zaheer Iqbal on June 23, 2024, was once in a relationship with Arjun Kapoor. The two seemed to have bonded during the filming of the movie 'Tevar', but reportedly split shortly after completing the movie.

In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Kapoor spoke about the downfall of their relationship. He explained that some relationships end after the project ends, while others fade away naturally.

He mentioned his respect for Sonakshi and said they greet each other as friends at events without feeling the need to maintain their relationship further.

"Some equations last. Others don't go beyond the making of a film because after it is over, people go their separate ways. I am still really fond of her as an
individual. Unfortunately, it is always made to seem like we do not acknowledge each other at parties, which is not the case. We always make it a point to greet each
other. There is no pressure on either of us to maintain an equation beyond a certain amount of time."

As per a DNA report, their breakup largely stemmed from differing personalities. A source revealed, "Sonakshi is a very emotional girl. She doesn't hide her feelings
for those she cares about. Arjun, on the other hand, is more low-key. He obviously couldn't handle her strong emotions."

"Sonakshi, like most girls, wanted to be around him all the time. He was feeling a little stifled by the constant togetherness and the calls. It was just happening all
too fast for him. You can't blame either for this split," another source mentioned.

Recently, Sonakshi and Zaheer's wedding invitation went viral on social media. Pahlaj Nihalani, a close friend of the Sinhas, confirmed the news, saying, "I'm Sonakshi's mama. All my blessings to her and Zaheer. They are finally getting married. I send them all my good wishes," he told Zoom.

Veteran actress Poonam Dhillon also confirmed receiving Sonakshi's wedding invite, telling Instant Bollywood, "Bohat pyara invite bheja hai usne. I have known her since she was a little girl, uski poori journey dekhi hai. Bhagwaan kare boht khush rahe. She is a lovely, warm, very loving girl. I wish her all the joy and happiness."

However, it should be noted that both Sonakshi and Zaheer haven't confirmed their wedding yet.

According to reports, they have been planning their wedding for some time. However, they had to postpone their plans due to the recent Lok Sabha elections. Sonakshi's father, Shatrughan Sinha, was contesting from Asansol, West Bengal, representing TMC.
