'Animal' Lifetime Box Office Collection: Ranbir's Film To End As Second Biggest Hit Of All Time
Hindi movie 'Animal' has become the biggest hit of Ranbir Kapoor's career to date, minting over Rs 550 crore (nett) in India. It is the next only to Shah Rukh Khan's blockbuster 'Jawan'.
Despite facing criticism for its misogynistic content and violent scenes, the movie emerged as a blockbuster, shattering numerous records at the box office. Released on December 1, the movie has minted Rs 550.43 crore.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga-directorial is the fifth Hindi language film in history to surpass the Rs 500 crore net collection mark, joining the ranks of SS Rajamouli's 'Baahubali 2', Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan', Sunny Deol's 'Gadar 2', and 'Jawan'. The film made a groundbreaking debut, setting historic numbers as the first film to achieve over Rs 50 crore net collection for three consecutive days and reaching a remarkable Rs 300 crore in its first week at the box office.
On the release day, the Hindi movie had minted Rs 63.80 crore. On the second day, it raked in Rs 67.27 crore while doing Rs 70.69 crore to end its first weekend at Rs 201.76 crore.
The movie ended its first-week collection at Rs 338.63 crore.

'Animal' Lifetime Box Office Collection
With the collection dropping to less than Rs 5 crore a week, the movie, which has Rashmika Mandanna in the female lead, is expected to earn around Rs 560-575 crore in India. The highest collection has come from the Mumbai circuit followed by Delhi-UP (Rs 77.20 crore), East Punjab (Rs 42.14 crore) and Nizam-AP region (Rs 27.65 crore).
It will end as the second highest grossing movies of all time at the India box office.
