Alia Bhatt Restricts Raha’s Screen Time, But Thanks Mum For Letting Her Watch TV

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are proud parents to their three-year-old daughter, Raha, whom they welcomed in 2022. The couple often shares their thoughts about their little one, and recently, Alia spoke about how she is very conscious of Raha's screen time. She also revealed that this made her mother, Soni Razdan, wonder if she had been a bad mother, according to a Pinkvilla report.

During a conversation with Jay Shetty, Alia Bhatt reflected on her childhood interests. She recalled, "I was fascinated by television. That's something I remember very clearly from when I was growing up. In fact, my mum and I talk about it now because she asked, 'Was I a horrible mother?' Because now, I am so conscious of my daughter's screen time."

The actress further explained that Raha still does not have much screen time and does not use an iPad. However, whenever Raha watches a song on television, Alia makes sure to limit the duration. She recalled how her mother once told her, "Was I a horrible mother? Because we just let you be in front of the TV... that's what seemed normal at the time."

As per the same report, Alia assured her mother that it was not like that. She pointed out that television was a relatively new phenomenon back then. Despite this, she expressed her gratitude towards her mother for not stopping her from watching TV. She believes that much of her creativity, imagination, and storytelling ability developed from those moments. Alia also shared that she enjoys dreaming and coming up with new ideas.

On the work front, Alia Bhatt will next be seen in 'Alpha,' co-starring Sharvari. The much-awaited action film is the first female-led project in the YRF Spy Universe, backed by Aditya Chopra. Directed by Shiv Rawail, the film is set to release on Christmas 2025.

She also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Love & War' lined up. This project will reunite her with her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, and her 'Raazi' co-star, Vicky Kaushal. The film is scheduled to release on March 20, 2026.
