Alappuzha Gymkhana OTT Release: Forget Bazooka & Thudarum, Naslen's Malayalam Film Set For Digital Release

Malayalam movie Alappuzha Gymkhana has emerged as a surprise winner at the box office. Naslen, after Premalu, has once again tasted a massive success and overwhelming love from fans.

Alappuzha Gymkhana Becomes Box Office Hit

It has eventually helped Alappuzha Gymkhana rake in close to Rs 42 crore in 20 days. Thus it became one of the most profitable films in Mollywood in 2025.

Released on April 10, Alappuzha Gymkhana has Naslen, Lukman Avaran, Ganapathi S. Poduval, Sandeep Pradeep, Anagha Ravi, Franco Francis, Baby Jean and Shiva Hariharan in the cast. The Malayalam film is directed and produced by Khalid Rahman.

It has Vishnu Vijay's music, Nishadh Yusuf's editing and Jimshi Khalid's cinematography.

Alappuzha Gymkhana OTT Release Date

With the movie getting a stupendous response, the fans, not just in Malayalam, but across the languages are eagerly awaiting the release of Alappuzha Gymkhana on the OTT platform. It will not be an exaggeration to say that youths are keenly looking forward for Neslan's film more than the latest release Thudarum starring Mohanlal and Mammootty's recent movie Bazooka.

Well in all possibility, Alappuzha Gymkhana will have its digital release in May.

However, the date of its release and the platform details have not been revealed yet. Jio Hotstar is a frontrunner to bag the rights and a few others, including Amazon Prime are in the race for its digital rights.

As the movie is still being played in theatres, there is less chance of Alappuzha Gymkhana getting released in the early weeks of May. The movie might be out in the third or fourth week of May, say people who track the OTT releases.

The story of the movie revolves around a 19-year-old who is facing an identity crisis. What happens when he enters the boxing ring for grace marks forms the crux of the story.
