Akshay Kumar Says 'Nice Person' Asked His 13-Year-Old Daughter For Nudes During Online Game

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has opened up about a disturbing incident involving his 13-year-old daughter, Nitara, who was subjected to online harassment while playing a multiplayer game.

Kumar revealed that Nitara was initially approached with friendly messages like "thank you" and "well played." However, once the stranger discovered she was female, the conversation quickly turned predatory. The individual demanded nude pictures, prompting Nitara to immediately exit the game and inform her mother.

Kumar shared this experience at the inauguration of Cybersecurity Awareness Month at the Maharashtra Police headquarters, stressing how online predators often build trust before attempting exploitation.

Reporting Cybercrime: The "Golden Hour"

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis emphasized that reporting cybercrimes within the first hour-known as the Golden Hour-is critical. Helplines 1930 and 1945 can help in recovering stolen money and preventing further harm.

As part of the awareness drive, the state unveiled a cybersecurity documentary and a children's comic book titled "Cyber Warrior" to educate students on online safety.

Rising Digital Threats

Fadnavis also warned of AI-driven scams including deepfakes, phishing, OTP frauds, and voice cloning. He cautioned against careless sharing of personal data and indiscriminate acceptance of website cookies, which could expose individuals to fraud and cyberbullying.

The event saw participation from actor Rani Mukerji, academic experts from IIT Bombay and VJTI, senior IPS and IAS officers, and activists who have been spreading cyber awareness.

A Wake-Up Call

The episode with Kumar's daughter highlights the hidden dangers children face online. Experts stress the need for parental vigilance, digital literacy, and open communication to protect minors in the virtual world.
