Aishwarya Rai Caught In Social Media Storm After Jaya Bachchan-Jagdeep Dhankhar Face-Off

Actress-turned-politician Jaya Bachchan has demanded an apology from Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar following a tense exchange over remarks made by BJP MP Ghanshyam Tiwari against Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge.

Supported by Sonia Gandhi and other leaders, Jaya Bachchan voiced her objections, stating, "I objected to the tone used by the Chair. We are not schoolchildren. Some of us are senior citizens. I was upset with the tone, and especially when the Leader of the Opposition stood up to speak, the mike was switched off."

Earlier in the day, during a session in which Opposition Rajya Sabha MPs demanded that Ghanshyam Tiwari's remarks about the Leader of the Opposition be expunged, Jaya Bachchan criticized the tone of Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar's comments. The Chairman, in turn, took strong exception to her remarks, stating that he did not require "schooling" and that he speaks without a script.

As the incident gained attention on social media, Jaya Bachchan's daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai, was unexpectedly dragged into the debate by netizens.

Many questioned how Jaya could stand alongside Sonia Gandhi, given that Sonia's son, Rahul Gandhi, had made repeated references to Aishwarya Rai during Lok Sabha election campaigns.

Others brought up Jaya's history of losing her temper in public, particularly with the paparazzi. "My deepest thoughts for Aishwarya Rai... It's like living in a daily soap drama," one user remarked.

A third user added, "Imagine if she's like this in public-how toxic she must be at home for Aishwarya. No wonder their relationship is strained."

Some praised Vice President Dhankhar for his response, with one user suggesting that Aishwarya Rai might be quietly pleased with the situation. "A person who would enjoy this the most would perhaps be Aishwarya Rai," they said.
