Is Mrunal Thakur dating Dhanush? This is one rumour that is doing the rounds on social media after the actor was seen together at a recent event in Mumbai.

It all started after Dhanush was seen having a close interaction with Mrunal at her birthday bash recently.

A report in the Telugu media claims that they are frequently spotted together at parties and industry gatherings. In July, Dhanush, who is currently working in his upcoming Hindi movie Tere Ishk Mein, was spotted at a party in which Mrunal, Tamannaah Bhatia, Bhumi Pednekar and Kriti Sanon were seen together.

Dhanush had flown to Mumbai to attend the special screening of Mrunal Thakur's recently-released movie Son of Sardaar 2 celebrity premiere show.

It has to be noted that Kriti has paired up with him in Tere Ish Main. The party pictures were officially shared by writer-producer Kanika Dhillon on her Instagram account. She captioned the photos: "Our hearts are full! Our OG Raanjhanaa in the house @dhanushkraja - we love you! With friends old and new - big smiles, bigger hearts! Grateful for the memories."

"What's going on," a netizen questioned. The second user said, "Dhanush and Mrunal Thakur are dating?"

Another netizen refused to believe the rumours and said, "I think they are just friends." The third user made a sarcastic comment on the rumours saying, "Do they know that they are dating each other?"

A few felt that such rumours are common during the making of Bollywood movies. A user said, "Probably pr work for a movie. Hollywood used to do this."

However, the actors have not responded to the viral video or the link-up rumours. Both the stars have a couple of films in their kitty.

Dhanush was earlier married to Aishwarya, daughter of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth. He divorced divorce from his wife in 2022 after 18 years of marriage.

They have two sons, Yatra and Linga.
