Actress Sana Khan Asks Sambhavna Seth To Wear Burqa, Gets Slammed [Watch]

Former actress Sana Khan has triggered a controversy after a viral video featuring her and YouTuber Sambhavna Seth surfaced online.

In the clip, Sana is seen playfully urging Sambhavna to wear a burqa and a dupatta, which has drawn mixed reactions from netizens. While some viewed it as light-hearted banter, others criticized Sana for imposing her beliefs on Sambhavna.

What Sana Khan Said?

The video shows Sana teasing Sambhavna about her outfit, saying, "You don't have a good salwar kameez... Want a slap? Where is your dupatta? Burqa lao (Bring a burqa)... Make Sambhavna wear a burqa." Sambhavna responded by explaining that she had gained 15 kgs, making her clothes ill-fitting, and added, "People will focus on what we say, not on our clothes. People will love us for who we are." Sana also insisted that Sambhavna wear a kimono or a jacket.

Netizens React

The video triggered a wave of criticism, with some users accusing Sana of overstepping boundaries. One user questioned, "Why do they keep imposing burkha on everyone?" Another commented, "Sambhavana is not Muslim. So why is she forcing her?" A Muslim user expressed disapproval, stating, "As a Muslim, this is very bad behavior, especially to show online. Respecting others' beliefs is crucial. I'm sure she's joking, but it sets a bad example, especially with the existing hate towards us. Forcing others to do anything they're not okay with is completely haram (forbidden)." Another user called the situation "ridiculous," questioning Sana's authority to dictate what others should wear.

Sana Khan, who left the entertainment industry in 2020 and deleted her social media content related to her acting career, has since focused on her personal life and new ventures. She married Anas in November 2020 and has launched a podcast titled Raunak-e-Ramadan, where she prepares iftar dishes and interviews guests about their Ramadan experiences. Notable guests so far include Jannat Zubair and Urvashi Dholakia.

This incident has reignited discussions about respecting individual choices and boundaries, particularly in the context of cultural and religious sensitivities.
