Actor Vikrant Massey Announces Retirement Amid Career Highs, Fans In Disbelief
Actor Vikrant Massey is currently enjoying remarkable success in his career. His latest release, 'Sabarmati Express', has generated significant momentum at the box office. This follows widespread acclaim for his performances in '12th Fail' and 'Sector 36'.
One might expect Vikrant to capitalise on this wave of success, but the 37-year-old actor has instead made the surprising decision to retire from acting.

Vikrant Announces Retirement
On Monday morning, Vikrant stunned his fans by revealing plans to step back from acting after 2025. Sharing a heartfelt note on Instagram, he wrote: "The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realise it's time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father & a Son. And also as an Actor."
The actor is currently working on two upcoming films, 'Yaar Jigri' and 'Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan'. Referring to these projects, Vikrant continued: "So coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. Last 2 movies and many a years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between." He concluded his message with: "Forever indebted."

Fans were taken aback by the unexpected announcement, expressing disbelief in the comments. One fan wrote, "Why would you do that..? There are hardly any actors like you. We need some good cinema." Another added, "Suddenly? Is everything alright? That's so surprising for the fans. We really like your acting and movies."
Many urged the actor to reconsider his decision, with one commenting: "Bro, you are at your peak... why do you think like this?" Some speculated whether the announcement might be a promotional strategy for a film or brand campaign.
Vikrant's Acting Journey
Vikrant began his career on television with the show 'Dhoom Machao Dhoom' and rose to fame with 'Balika Vadhu' in 2009. He made his film debut with 'Lootera' in 2013, and his first lead role came with 'A Death in the Gunj' in 2017. He has since garnered acclaim for his roles in films such as 'Ginny Weds Sunny', 'Haseen Dillruba', 'Love Hostel', and '12th Fail'.
