UGC NET June 2026 Exam Schedule Released: Tests From June 22 To 30 Across 87 Subjects

The National Testing Agency has released the exam schedule. It is for the UGC-NET June 2026 examination. Students can check the dates on their official website. The website is ugcnet.nta.ac.in. The exams will run from June 22 to June 30.

The test will take place in two shifts daily. The first shift is from 9 AM to 12 PM. The second shift starts at 3 PM and ends at 6 PM. It is a computer-based test conducted across India.

This exam serves two main purposes. It determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship positions. It also checks eligibility for Assistant Professor roles. Further, it qualifies students for PhD admissions in India. The exam covers 87 different subjects.

NTA has added two new subjects this year. These subjects are Forestry and Statistics. The exam consists of two papers, Paper I and Paper II. There are 150 questions in total. Each question carries two marks. There is no negative marking.
