Who is Shubham Khairnar in NEET UG 2026 case

One key name in the NEET UG 2026 leak investigation is 30-year-old Shubham Khairnar from Indiranagar in Nashik. Shubham is a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery student. Reports claim Shubham obtained the leaked paper from a suspect in Pune for Rs 10 lakh and later sold it to a buyer in Haryana for Rs 15 lakh.

Investigators allege that this deal allowed Shubham to earn Rs 5 lakh from the NEET UG 2026 paper. The Central Bureau of Investigation detained Shubham on Tuesday afternoon. Officials stated that Shubham was allegedly on the move towards a temple for prayers at the time, which allowed officers to intercept the journey and take Shubham into custody.
