CBSE Class 12 Re-Evaluation Portal Fails to Launch on June 1, Students Left Waiting

Thousands of CBSE Class 12 students seeking recheck of marks were left in limbo on 1 June as the CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation portal under Post-Result Activities did not go live as promised, again delaying access to verification, scanned copies and re-evaluation services after this year’s board exam results.

Instead of an active application page, students trying to log in on 1 June saw a maintenance notice. The site displayed the message: "Site is under updation and will be available soon," even though the Central Board of Secondary Education had publicly stated that the CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation portal would start functioning on 1 June.

Eligibility and process for CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation portal requests

According to the revised rules, only those Class 12 candidates who have already applied for and received scanned copies of their evaluated answer books can use the CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation portal. These students may challenge marking on specific questions if they believe scores awarded do not match the official marking scheme.

Education Ministry officials earlier clarified that candidates cannot ask for a full script review through the CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation portal. Instead, students must list individual questions, give reasons for disagreement with the marks, and then subject experts reassess those answers using the On-Screen Marking system, changing marks if any mistake is confirmed.
