Vijay's CAA Stand Silences 'TVK Is BJP's B-Team' Debate: Thalapathy Fans React

For months, Vijay's newly-founded political party 'Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam' (TVK) was targeted by a section of people as the B-team of the BJP. However, his stand on the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019, has put an end to such talks, says his fans.

"It is not acceptable to implement any law like the Indian Citizenship Amendment Act 2019 (CAA) in an environment where all citizens of the country live with social harmony," the actor said in a statement. He also requested the DMK government in Tamil Nadu not to implement in the state. "The leaders should ensure that this law does not get implemented in Tamil Nadu," it added.

As he took a stand on the CAA, it has put an end to the talks of the TVK being the BJP's B-team in Tamil Nadu.

Another fan said, "Now DMK cannot paint him that he is Bjp b team in TN post upcoming elections," a fan said on X. The third user attacked the ruling DMK and wrote, "DMK is the BIGGEST B TEAM of BJP they act like fight aginst each other divide the people into two and harvest votes."

The fourth netizen claimed, "Vijay has a charm of gathering people so he might get the votes of DMK adhunala 200 rs umbura ups are katharifying. #TVKVijay #TVK."

Ever since Vijay launched his party 'Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam' in February, a section of people targeted his party, calling it the B-team of the BJP. The AIADMK was quick to label his party as the "B team" of the BJP.

"The cat is out of the bag finally; actor Vijay had political aspirations a decade ago and what's happening right now in Tamil Nadu is after our leader announced the termination of alliance with BJP for Lok Sabha as well as for the forthcoming assembly (elections), now the desperate attempt of BJP is coming to the front," said AIADMK leader Kovai Sathyan.

However, the Tamil Nadu BJP had rubbished the talks.
