Vijay Fans Injured In Thanjavur After Trying To See Him: Accident Caught on Camera

Actor-turned-politician Vijay's roadshow took a nasty turn on Wednesday when multiple fans were injured in accidents on the Trichy-Thanjavur highway.

The Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) leader was travelling from Trichy to Chengipatti in Thanjavur to attend a party meeting. However, the journey turned chaotic as hordes of enthusiastic fans began chasing his vehicle on two-wheelers, leading to a series of crashes.

The incident was caught on camera and the clip has now gone viral on social media sites.

Eyewitnesses told a news channel that the stretch of the national highway became a hotspot for mishaps. In their eagerness to catch a glimpse of their favourite star, fans were seen riding without helmets and violating traffic rules. The result was a trail of accidents, with ambulances rushing back and forth to ferry the injured to hospitals.

In one particularly serious incident, a young man suffered a fractured skull and was bleeding heavily. He was immediately rushed to a hospital by ambulance. The constant movement of emergency vehicles highlighted the severity of the situation on the ground.

This is not an isolated event. The TVK leader's public appearances have often been marred by such incidents. Just recently, during a rally in Karur, a stampede-like situation had occurred. A few weeks ago, a man reportedly died of a heart attack while attending Vijay's rally in Salem. The recurring pattern of fans dangerously swarming his vehicle is becoming a major concern.

Party sources claim that Vijay has repeatedly urged his supporters to maintain discipline. During a previous event in Vellore, he had specifically pleaded with the crowd not to follow his vehicle. However, Wednesday's events show that these appeals are falling on deaf ears.

The dangerous stunts and disregard for safety are not only putting young lives at risk but are also beginning to cast a shadow over the party's image. As Vijay ramps up his political activities with meetings across the state, the issue of crowd control and fan frenzy continues to be a pressing challenge for the TVK leadership.
