Vegetable Price In Chennai Today: What's Cheaper, What's Costlier On July 24

Vegetable prices at Chennai's Koyambedu Wholesale Market experienced typical fluctuations on Wednesday, driven by changes in supply, demand, and seasonal factors.

Beans were priced at Rs 70 per kg, with second-quality beans available for Rs 55 per kg. Green chillies saw a sharp drop today, falling to Rs 50 per kg from Rs 90 per kg yesterday-a decrease of Rs 40. On July 19, green chillies were priced at Rs 40 per kg.

Drumsticks also saw a Rs 30 drop in price, with the rate falling from Rs 90 per kg on July 22 to Rs 60 per kg today.

In contrast, Ooty carrots, which have been experiencing price fluctuations recently, increased by Rs 20, rising from Rs 100 per kg yesterday to Rs 120 per kg today.

Onions were sold at Rs 40 per kg, with second-quality onions priced at Rs 44 per kg. Potatoes were priced at Rs 48 per kg for the first quality and Rs 40 per kg for the second quality.
