Tamil Nadu Weather Update: North Interior On Orange Alert; Karur, Erode Boil At 44.0°C
The Regional Meteorological Department on Friday issued an orange alert for heatwave to North Interior Tamil Nadu for the next two days.
Isolated areas in North Interior Tamil Nadu are expected to experience heat wave conditions. The combination of humid air and high temperatures will likely result in hot and uncomfortable weather across other parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal, the RMD, in its daily bulletin said.

An orange alert is issued in case of extremely bad weather. "Heat wave conditions are likely to prevail at isolated pockets over North Interior Tamil Nadu. Due to humid air & high temperatures, hot and discomfort weather is very likely to prevail at isolated pockets over rest of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal area," the statement released on Friday afternoon said.
