Close behind, Kannagi Nagar (Chennai) and Vellore received 11 mm each. Other notable areas included Pallipattu (Tiruvallur), Arcot (Ranipet), and Ammundi (Vellore) with 9 mm each.

In Chennai, various zones saw rainfall between 7 mm and 8 mm, including Pallikaranai, Medavakkam, Manali, DGP Office, and Sholinganallur. Even Adyar, Neelankarai, Vadapalani, Narayanapuram Lake, and Kasimedu registered moderate showers. Katpadi (Vellore) and Minnal (Ranipet) also recorded 7 mm of rain.

With the yellow alert in place, residents in the affected regions are advised to remain cautious, especially in low-lying areas prone to waterlogging. The rains are expected to continue intermittently, contributing to cooler nights but unstable conditions during the day.
