Tamil Nadu Plus Two Supplementary Exams: How To Submit Application? Check Fees & Other Details
The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu, declared the Class 12 (HSC Plus Two) results on May 8, 2025. This year, the overall pass percentage stood at 95.03%, reflecting a 0.47 percentage point increase over last year's figures.
Of the 7,92,494 students who appeared for the public exams held between March 3 and March 25, a total of 7,53,142 cleared the exams. Among the 4,19,316 girls, 4,05,472 passed (96.70%), while out of 3,73,178 boys, 3,47,670 passed, recording a pass rate of 93.16%. Additionally, 10,049 students were absent.

In terms of school performance:
- Private schools led with a 98.88% pass rate
- Government-aided schools followed at 95.71%
- Government schools registered a 91.94% pass rate
A total of 2,638 out of 7,513 schools achieved a 100% pass rate.
Top Districts
- Ariyalur topped the charts with a 98.82% pass rate
- Followed by Erode (97.98%), Tiruppur (97.53%), Coimbatore (97.48%), and Kanyakumari (97.01%)

Supplementary Exams: Key Information
The supplementary examinations for students with arrears or absentees are scheduled to begin on June 25, 2025, and will also include Class 11 subjects for applicable candidates.
Students eligible for supplementary exams include:
- Those who failed the Plus Two public exams
- Students who were absent
- Students with pending subjects from Class 11
Application Window & Procedure
- Applications will be accepted from May 14 to May 29 (11 AM to 5 PM) at respective schools.
- Private candidates can apply at district-level service centres.
- Late applications will be accepted online on May 30 and 31 under a special admission scheme, subject to an additional fee.
Fees & Exemptions
- A special admission fee of ₹1,000 applies to late applicants.
- Students from government and aided schools in TN (2024-25 academic year) who failed are exempted from this fee.
