Tamil Nadu Lok Sabha Election Exit Poll 2024 Result Live Online: Date, Time, Where To Watch Predictions

Tamil Nadu voted in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections on April 19, covering all 39 seats.

On Saturday, the seventh and final phase of the elections is taking place, deciding the fate of 904 candidates, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, across 57 seats in seven states and a Union Territory.

As far as the Tamil Nadu elections are concerned, pre-poll surveys indicated a strong performance by the DMK and Congress. Interestingly, the BJP, which failed to win any seats and secured over 3 per cent of the vote share in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, is expected to outperform the AIADMK this time.

Several surveys have predicted that the BJP could win 3-4 seats.

Exit Polls

After polling concludes, attention will shift to exit polls, which will forecast whether the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by PM Modi or the Congress-led opposition INDIA bloc will form the next government.

Once the polling ends, TV channels will start releasing their projections after 6:30-7 pm on Saturday, which will also be live-streamed on various social media platforms, including YouTube.

Tamil Nadu recorded a voter turnout of 72.09 percent in the Lok Sabha polls held in a single phase on Friday with no major untoward incidents.

The contest was largely three-way with ruling DMK, AIADMK and BJP leading respective blocs.

While Kallakurichi in northern Tamil Nadu saw the highest voting percentage of 75.67 per cent, Central Chennai recorded 67.35, the lowest. DMK's Dayanidhi Maran, BJP's Vinoj P Selvam and DMDK's Parthasarathy, an AIADMK ally are the key candidates. In Coimbatore, where BJP state president K Annamalai is facing a three-way challenge from DMK's Ganapathy Rajkumar, AIADMK's Singai G Ramachandran and Naam Tamilar Katchi's (NTK) Kalamani Jaganathan, 71.17 percent voter turnout was recorded.
