Ravi Mohan’s Grand New Beginning: Studio Launch, Film Announcements & Emotional Words

Acclaimed Tamil actor Ravi Mohan, formerly known as Jayam Ravi, launched his new production house, Ravi Mohan Studios, at a star-studded inauguration ceremony in Teynampet, Chennai, on Tuesday. The event was attended by prominent figures from across the South Indian film industry.

Ravi Mohan Studios aims to serve as a platform for compelling narratives and to support emerging talent. Announcing the studio's first project, Mohan revealed he will direct a film starring Yogi Babu under the new banner. He also expressed a future aspiration to launch his son into the industry through this venture.

The guest list included Kannada superstar Shivaraj Kumar, alongside Tamil actors Karthi, Sivakarthikeyan, Genelia D'Souza, SJ Suryah, Atharvaa, and Yogi Babu, among others. Fans were able to watch the inauguration event live online.

This move marks a significant expansion for Ravi Mohan, who officially began using his birth name in January 2025, transitioning from his successful acting career into film production and mentorship.

Two Films Announced Under the Banner

The evening also saw Ravi Mohan unveil his first productions:

Bro Code, directed by Karthik Yogi, starring Ravi Mohan and SJ Suryah.

An Ordinary Man, directed by Ravi Mohan himself, headlined by Yogi Babu.

In addition, Ravi revealed his long-term vision to nurture fresh talent and even introduce his son to films through this banner in the future.

Stars Shower Praise

The launch turned into a warm celebration of camaraderie, with fellow stars cheering Ravi on.

Sivakarthikeyan shared with a smile: "Producing films has given me more happiness than acting. Ravi Mohan sir, I'm actually your senior in production, so please keep producing more films! 😀 We had a great time on the sets of Parasakthi - it's very special to act opposite you."

Karthi was equally enthusiastic, revealing his excitement about a project with Ravi: "Ravi Mohan narrated me a story where both of us will star, with him directing. He even performed the scenes while narrating - like Jim Carrey! I didn't step into production because of the difficulties involved, and even Rajinikanth sir advised me against it. But Ravi has been planning this for long, and now he's all set to rock."

The event sparkled with the presence of Shivaraj Kumar, Sivakarthikeyan, Karthi, Genelia D'Souza, SJ Suryah, Atharvaa, Yogi Babu, and many others, while fans joined the celebrations through live streaming.

Even as the actor basked in this professional milestone, his personal life stirred headlines. Earlier in the day, Ravi and Kenisha paid their respects at Tirupati Temple. But back in Chennai, his estranged wife Aarti Ravi shared a cryptic Instagram note that read: "You can't fool God. You might fool others. You might even fool yourself. But you can't fool God."

With divorce proceedings between the two still ongoing, her words cast a shadow of speculation over the otherwise joyous occasion.
