Narendra Modi to be in TN amidst high security cover

Modi will be delivering the 2013 Nani Palkhivala memorial lecture at the University of Madras' Centenary Auditorium and will also be releasing Arun Shourie's book ‘Self- deception; India China Policies.'
Over 5,000 police personnel including the ones from the Armed Reserve wing have been deployed for the event, the police officials said.
The police officials sanitized the Madras University Centenary hall and also the entire campus to ensure proper security ahead of his visit. Police personnel have also been deployed on high rise buildings and on nearby by buildings.

Police officials said that all security checks were in place. "Everything has been done in accordance with the protocol for the VVIPs with high security risk," a top police official said.
This is Modi's second visit to the state in less than a month. He had on Sept 26 addressed a public meeting in Tiruchirapalli.
