Lok Sabha Poll Predictions (Tamil Nadu): BJP Poised To Surpass Congress In Vote Share And AIADMK In Seats

The BJP is predicted to register a thumping performance in the Lok Sabha polls in Tamil Nadu, Times Now-ETG Survey predicts.

According to predictions, DMK is poised to secure 26 per cent of the vote share, while Congress is anticipated to get 18 per cent. The BJP is expected to garner 19 per cent of the vote share, with the AIADMK following closely at 17 per cent. Other parties are forecasted to collectively capture 20 per cent of the vote share.

How do these votes translate into seats?

Tamil Nadu has 39 seats. The ruling DMK is projected to secure 21-22 seats, while its coalition partner Congress is anticipated to bag five to seven seats.

In contrast, the BJP is predicted to win two to six seats. It is interesting to note that the saffron party had failed to open its account in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. It had contested as a coalition partner to the AIADMK in the last general polls.

This time, the BJP does not have an alliance with the AIADMK and forged alliance with smaller parties. Notably, the survey has predicted the established AIADMK to get a lesser vote share than the BJP.

In the upcoming polls, the AIADMK will get one to three seats as per the predictions while others are predicted to get four to five seats.

Not this poll alone, several pre-poll surveys have claimed that the BJP will come out with flying colours in Tamil Nadu which will vote in a single phase on April 19.

The Times Now-ETG survey has predicted that the BJP will win 329-359 Lok Sabha seats in the upcoming polls across the country.
