Tamil Nadu 12th Result (2024) Out: Pass Rate Climbs To 94.56%; Check TN Board HSE (+2) Scores Online

The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations declared the Class 12 exam results for 2024 on Monday, May 6. Students can check their results on two designated websites, dge.tn.gov.in and tnresults.nic.in.

This year, 94.56 per cent of students successfully passed, marking a notable increase from last year's pass rate of 94.03 per cent.

The pass rate for boys stands at 92.37 per cent, while for girls, it's 96.44 per cent. Thus, the pass percentage of female students surpasses that of male students.

Tiruppur district boasted the highest pass rate at 97.45%, closely trailed by Erode and Sivaganga, both at 97.42%.

Government schools achieved a pass rate of 91.02%, while government-aided schools saw 95.49% success and private schools excelled at 98.70%. A notable 26,352 students achieved a perfect score in at least one subject, with the majority in computer science (6996).

Out of a total of 7,60,606 students, 7,19,196 successfully cleared the examination. Among 7,532 higher secondary schools, 2,478 achieved a 100 per cent pass rate.

The subject of Computer Science boasted the highest pass percentage at 99.8 per cent, closely trailed by Chemistry with 99.14 per cent.

In Mathematics, an impressive 2,587 students attained full marks, while in Physics and Chemistry, 633 and 471 students respectively secured a perfect 100 percent this year.

To access the scorecard, candidates need to provide their registration number or roll number along with their password.

This year, a significant number of approximately eight lakh Class XII students from Tamil Nadu took part in the board examinations. The examination was conducted across 3,302 centres, with a total of 4,13,998 girls and 3,58,201 boys appearing for the exams.

In Chennai alone, 62,124 students sat for exams across 240 centres, out of which 21,875 chose to register as private candidates statewide.

• Visit the official website of the Tamil Nadu State Board Examination.
• Locate and click on the link for HSC Result 2024 or HSE(+2) Examination Results.
• Enter your registration number and date of birth in the format dd/mm/yyyy.
• After submission, a new page will appear displaying your exam result.
• You can then view and download the result as a PDF file for printing, if required.

Step 1: Open the messaging app on your mobile device.

Step 2: In the message template, type the following: 'TNBOARD10REG NO,DATE OF BIRTH'

Step 3: Send the message to either 09282232585 or +919282232585.

Step 4: Within moments, you'll receive the TN Board Class 12 Result 2023 on your phone.

Last year, the results were announced on May 8, with an impressive pass percentage of 94.03 across all streams. In 2022, the TN HSC + 2 exams were conducted between March 4 and 25, and the results were declared on June 20 for exams held from May 5 to May 28.
