K. Palaniswami Says Vote AIADMK To Save Farmers' Rights
Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Thursday wooed the people of Tamil Nadu to vote for All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIDMK) if they want to protect the rights of the farmers. He said only AIADMK candidates will raise farmers' voices in the parliament.
Addressing a sea of supporters in Thanjavur under the banner of 'Thamizhar Urimai Meetpom, Thamizhnadu Kappom', organised by AIADMK, Palaniswami said his party is committed to serve the people of Tamil Nadu and their priority is to protect the rights of farmers, and their share in Cauvery water.

Slamming the ruling DMK and Chief Minister MK Stalin, Palaniswami said the spinless Government did not take a stand on the Mekedatu issue. He added that the Godavari-Cauvery river-linking project would be implemented at the earliest if AIADMK voted back to power in the next elections.
He also attacked the state government for alleged mismanagement and corruption in the unchecked sale of drugs, which may ruin future generations.
AIADMK leader added that he has been drawing the government's attention towards drug menaces, but no action was taken. He said the DMK government intentionally ignored drug menaces as some DMK leaders have connections with such criminals.
He showed sympathy towards media persons too as DMK workers attacked journalists who showed the ground reality and reported against the government.
