Gold & Silver Price In Chennai Today: Gold Holds Firm As Silver Shows Stability On March 27

Chennai witnessed steady precious metal pricing today, with gold and silver rates reflecting firm market sentiment as of Friday, March 27, 2026, at 11:30 AM on Bullions website. The latest update indicates that gold continues to trade at elevated levels across all purity categories, while silver prices also remain strong.

For gold, the 24 karat category-the purest form-was priced at ₹14,320 per gram. This translates to ₹143,200 for 10 grams and ₹1,432,000 for 100 grams, highlighting the significant investment value of the metal. On a larger scale, one kilogram of 24 karat gold stood at ₹14,320,000, while an ounce was valued at ₹405,965 and one tola at ₹167,026, the data said.

Similarly, 22 karat gold, widely used for jewellery in Chennai, was recorded at ₹13,127 per gram. The price for 10 grams reached ₹131,267, while 100 grams cost ₹1,312,667. The kilogram rate stood at ₹13,126,667, reflecting consistent pricing trends across standard weight units. Other variants followed a proportional structure, with 20 karat gold at ₹11,933 per gram and 18 karat gold at ₹10,740 per gram. Lower purity categories such as 16K, 14K, 12K, and 10K were priced at ₹9,547, ₹8,353, ₹7,160, and ₹5,967 per gram respectively, offering more affordable alternatives for buyers.
