Educational Trip To Japan, Government School Students On Cloud Nine
Once upon a time, government school students were considered to be ignorant but the time has come for them to fly around the world. When the whole state was waiting to book tickets for Diwali, government school students went on a trip to Japan with Minister Anbil Mahesh.
In DMK's reign, the school education department has implemented some remarkable schemes. One such thing is the short film competition conducted at the state level, in which the winners will get an opportunity to go on an educational trip to Japan.

Students' opinion about the educational trip:
Student Selva said, "Through a short film competition, the education department had taken us to Japan, a country full of technologies and industries. In spite of the industries, environment and trees were kept safe and maintained well in Japan which is a lesson for other countries.
The biggest take away for us from Japan is that natural resources should be valued more than man-made resources. Astonishingly, we came to know that Tamil people have been living in Japan since hundred years ago and some of the Tamil traditions are still followed in the country.

Vehicles in Japan maintain distance from one another on roads, deterring the necessity to horn. The Japan visit was insightful and informative for us. I would like to thank the education department and CM Stalin for making this possible which otherwise would be unimaginable for students like us."
Another student Natasha said, "My dream of visiting a foreign country has come true, thanks to the Tamil Nadu government."

Student Meena said, "I thought there would be no Tamil people in Japan but I was taken by surprise when I witnessed Tamil speaking students in Indian International School. We went to the aquarium and saw marine life. The whole trip gave us a learning opportunity and made us envy Japan's beauty. I am proud to be the first person in my family to go abroad."
Dilshat Banu said, "We visited many places in Japan with teachers by our side including the Olympic stadium."

Poorvika, student of Annavasal Government Girls Higher Secondary school said, "After winning the state level short film competition, I was taken to Japan for an educational trip. I learnt that the life expectancy of people in Japan is 80 years, as opposed to people dying at the age of 30 in India.
People living happily at old age shocked us and sowed in us the dream of changing our country like theirs. I will never forget the trip in my lifetime, in which the government provided us with all necessary facilities."

Student Haripriya said, "My sincere gratitude to the Tamil Nadu government who took us on an educational trip to Japan. Finally, I got an opportunity to see a foreign country. Until then I had only imagined the features of Japan.
Toilet facilities and the pristine condition of the country fascinated me. Unnecessary interference in other persons' affairs hardly happens in Japan. During the trip, we saw the past condition and future image of Japan in the national museum and also we saw the Tokyo Olympic stadium."

Another student Rajalakshmi said, "The visit to the Tokyo Olympic stadium inspired us to pursue sports and win medals in the stadium in future. Overall, the trip to Japan has taught some valuable principles such as activeness, cleanliness etc. Thanks to CM Stalin and Anbil Mahesh for giving me this opportunity."

Regarding the Japan trip, Education minister Anbil Mahesh tweeted, "We have taken the government school students on an educational trip to Japan. We took them to the world famous Miraikan museum and the Indian National School in Tokyo. The trip was helpful in giving a wider perspective to the government school students.

The 'Japan Tamil Sangam' functioning for the welfare of Tamil people and the advancement of Tamil language in Japan gave a warm welcome to the students. My sincere gratitude to Tamil people in Japan who welcomed us through programs. I am obliged to thank CM Stalin for giving the students such wonderful opportunity."
