Pawan Kalyan Doesn't Know TN Politics: DMK Slams Andhra Deputy CM's Remarks On Dubbed Tamil Films In Hindi
The DMK has slammed Andhra Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan's jab at the Tamil Nadu politicians on the Hindi row, saying that the actor-turned-politician does not know the politics of Tamil Nadu.
Speaking to ANI, DMK leader TKS Elangovan says, "We have been opposing Hindi since 1938...We had passed legislation in the state assembly that Tamil Nadu will always follow the two-language formula because of the advice and suggestions of the experts in education, not actors... The bill was passed way back in 1968 when Pawan Kalyan was not even born. He doesn't know the politics of Tamil Nadu.

This is not the first time we have opposed Hindi because we feel that education in the mother tongue is the best way of training people...He (Pawan Kalyan) wants to somehow support the BJP so that he can gain something out of the BJP government..."
What Pawan Kalyan Had Said?
Janasena Party chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Friday exposed the "hypocrisy" of Tamil film stars and politicians linked to the film industry for taking their movies to Bollywood through dubbing for profits while criticising the Hindi language.
"I do not understand why some criticize Sanskrit. Why do Tamil Nadu politicians oppose Hindi while allowing their movies to be dubbed in Hindi for financial gain? They want money from Bollywood but refuse to accept Hindi--what kind of logic is that?" Kalyan asked without taking names.
The actor turned politician, who was addressing the party's 12th foundation day at Pithampuram in Kakinada, said that India needs multiple languages and not just two. We must embrace linguistic diversity - not only to maintain the integrity of our nation but also to foster love and unity among its people," Kalyan stated.
DMK spokesperson Dr Syed Hafeezullah hit out at Pawan Kalyan saying that the state has never opposed people from speaking Hindi or any other language. However, the DMK is against the Hindi imposition. He noted that Tamil Nadu has Hindi Prachar Sabhas that helps interested people to learn the language.
"If people want to learn Hindi, they are welcome to do so. The issue arises when the Central government mandates Hindi learning through policies like the NEP or PM SHRI schools," Hafeezullah added.
