Did You Miss VCK Aadhav Arjun's Speech In Vijay's Presence At Ambedkar Book Launch? Watch It Here
During a book launch event in Chennai, Aadhav Arjuna, VCK deputy general secretary and Voice of Commons founder, emphasised the need for leaders with strong ideologies rather than those chosen based on birth. He advocated for the end of dynastic politics by 2026, coinciding with Tamil Nadu's upcoming assembly elections.
Arjuna highlighted that the BJP gained power at the Centre in 2014 by targeting corruption and dynastic politics among opposition parties. "Until now, none could defeat the BJP," he remarked. Despite this, he noted that BJP's vote share in Tamil Nadu remains below 2%.

Call for Political Change
He urged actor and TVK president Vijay to expose the ruling party's dynastic politics and corrupt practices. Arjuna pointed out that a Dalit leader won the 2024 Lok Sabha polls from Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh but lamented the absence of Dalit candidates in Tamil Nadu's general constituencies.
"There are 1.4 crore Dalit people in the state," Arjuna stated. He expressed frustration over caste-based vote bank politics, which contradicts Dravidian philosophy and Tamil nationalism's principles of equality. He cited unresolved issues like the Vengavayal incident as consequences of caste-based political decisions.
Coalition Government Proposal
Arjuna questioned how a party with a 25% vote share could claim to be a major political force. He proposed forming a coalition government in Tamil Nadu to address these concerns. "If we question dynastic politics, we are branded as sanghis," he said, noting that people in Tamil Nadu are seeking new political directions.
The event underscored ongoing challenges related to caste and dynastic politics in Tamil Nadu. Arjuna's remarks reflect a growing desire for political reform and equal representation across communities.
