CM Stalin together with his sister Selvi inaugurated Kalaignar Kottam: A dream comes true moment for CM
The inauguration ceremony of Kalaignar Kottam in Thiruvarur happened today. CM Stalin inaugurated the Kottam which comprises Kalaignar's statue, a library in the name of Kalaignar's father Muthuvel, a museum which depicts the life history of Kalaignar, an assembly hall and 2 marriage halls. Thiruvarur's Kottam has an area of 7000 square feet and was built with an estimated cost of 12 crores from Dayalu Ammal Trust.
The Kottam was built as a part of Kalaignar's centenary birthday celebrations and CM Stalin considers this as a tribute to his father Kalaignar. CM Stalin and his Dravidian model government is working hard for the implementation of various beneficial schemes and projects in each district which proclaims the glory of Karunanidhi. One such project is the Kalaignar Kottam in Thiruvarur.

A place in history cannot be attained by concession, it should be earned by unwavering hard work. One such person who has earned a place in history through his hard work is Karunanidhi. To celebrate such a person's memory and his centenary birthday Thiruvarur became like a festival place today. The inauguration ceremony was graced by volunteers, party members, ministers, public etc.
The Kottam was inaugurated by CM Stalin along with his sister Selvi. The Bihar CM did not attend the inauguration ceremony owing to health issues. Bihar's Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav attended the ceremony and inaugurated Muthuvel library. In the ceremony CM Stalin said that Kalaignar was born as a leader in Thiruvarur. Kalaignar Kottam serves as a testimony for the fact that he is still living in our hearts, said the CM. He thanked Bihar's Deputy CM for his participation in the function.

He also said that leaders of the country should work together against the BJP by propagating the principles of democracy which are being tainted by the BJP government. He said that it is the responsibility of the public leaders to save democracy from BJP, failing which will lead to the disappearance of the 3000-4000 years old state Tamil Nadu. Allowing the continuation of the BJP regime will become an adverse situation for Tamil, Tamil Nadu and Tamil people.
To avoid such a situation secular forces of Tamil Nadu should come together and act at once, said CM. He also said that he will attend the opposition parties meeting on 24th June, which is going to be conducted in Patna to light the lamp of democracy.
