However, TVK chief Vijay, speaking at the party event on Wednesday, criticized the DMK and BJP, accusing them of engaging in a "staged drama" over the issue of Hindi imposition. Speaking at a public event, Vijay mocked the ongoing verbal sparring between the two parties, calling it a manipulative tactic to mislead the people of Tamil Nadu. He likened their behaviour to that of "LKG-UKG students," suggesting that their public disputes were prearranged and insincere.

"The Union government must allocate funds, and the state has the right to demand them. But instead of addressing real issues, both sides are engaged in a staged drama, blaming each other, manipulating social media, and deceiving the people," Vijay said. He likened their behaviour to that of "LKG-UKG students," accusing them of having a "setting" (prearranged agreement) to fight on social media while pretending to be serious.

Vijay emphasized his party's respect for all languages but firmly opposed any attempts by the Union government to undermine state autonomy or impose linguistic policies. He stated, "If the Union government acts against the principles of federalism, threatens linguistic rights, or undermines educational rights, we will not remain silent." He also highlighted the importance of addressing real issues rather than engaging in what he termed as "scripted dramas" for public consumption.

"On an individual level, anyone can study any language in any school. But if the Union government acts against the principles of federalism, threatens linguistic rights, or undermines educational rights, we will not remain silent," he explained.
