Kalaignar Kottam To Be Inaugurated Today; Bihar's Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav To Attend
The inauguration ceremony of Kalaignar Kottam in Thiruvarur is happening today. The inauguration event for the Kalaignar Kottam, constructed in the form of an Azhither, will take place in Tiruvarur and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav will grace the inaugural function. Numerous DMK leaders from various parts of Tamil Nadu are flocking to Thiruvarur to partake in this function, which is being led by Chief Minister and DMK president and chief minister of the state MK Stalin.
Kalaignar Kottam was built in Kattur near Thiruvarur, with the estimated cost of rupees 12 crores from Dayalu Ammal Trust. The Kalaignar Kottam encompasses a statue of Kalaignar, a library in the name of Kalaignar's father Muthuvel, a museum depicting the life history of Kalaignar and an Assembly hall. In the inauguration ceremony functions such as debate and theatre performances such as poetry reading and singing will be conducted.

The function will start at 10 am in the morning with the Carnatic music of Thiruvarur sisters. Following this, Kaviarangam headed by Kaviyarasu Vairamuthu will be held, in which poem reading will be done by Kabilan, Pa. Vijay, Andal Priyadarshini, Thanjai Iniyan. After that a debate headed by Solomon Pappaiah will be held with the title "Which attracted people the most - Kalaignar's speech or writings?" In the debate, participants Thiruvarur Shanmuga Vadivel, Kavitha Jawahar, Raja will speak supporting Kalaignar's speech and participants Pulavar Ramalingam, Madhu, Bharathi Baskar will speak supporting Kalaignar's words. After lunch break, a singing event will be held by the Malathy Lakshman crew at 3.30 pm.
Following this, the inauguration ceremony of Kalaignar Kottam will start with the welcome address of Dr. Mohan Kameswaran, trustee of Dayalu Ammal Trust. The function will be presided over by CM Stalin and he will open the statue of Kalaignar in the Kottam. The auspicious function will be graced by the presence of Ministers, MLAs, MPs and party leaders. The ceremony will end with the vote of thanks by trustee of Dayalu Ammal Trust, Sampath Kumar. Since anti BJP leaders are gathering, scorching political comments are expected in the function.
