As the Lok Sabha polls draw closer, politics in Tamil Nadu is characterized by the rivalry between the ruling DMK and the BJP, with both parties engaging in mutual criticism.
Recently, posters targeting the BJP have been widely campaigned across Tamil Nadu, alleging the involvement of the Modi government in various scams, as reported by NTV Telugu.

Anti-BJP Posters In Tamil Nadu
These posters, featuring messages such as "Scan and check for scams" alongside Prime Minister Modi's photo and a QR code labelled "Gee Pay," have been prominently displayed in multiple locations throughout the state. Upon scanning the QR code featured on these posters, a video is displayed on the mobile phone.
The video highlights electoral bond irregularities mentioned in the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report, corruption in infrastructure projects, and the cancellation of large corporate loans amounting to lakhs of crores. The video further urges voters to reject the BJP and support the Indian alliance in the upcoming elections, as per media reports.
Speculations have arisen that these posters were put up by the DMK, although the party has not officially responded to these claims. The 2024 Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to be held from April 19 to June 1 in seven phases, with polling for 39 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu taking place during a single phase on April 19. The election results are expected to be announced on June 4.
